The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment set up the Real-Time Economy project for the period 15 June 2021–31 December 2024. The project was based on cooperation between the public and private sectors.
The proposals for the following were prepared in the project:
- interoperability and technology of the digital ecosystem
- functioning and processes of financial administration
- organisation and management models.
An assessment of the legislation required to support the operating models has also been produced.
The project has succeeded because government agencies, companies and financial administration service providers have committed to change and participate in the joint development work.
The project was carried out at several levels. It involved specification work, mapping, analysis, modelling, descriptions and pilots. Concrete solutions were also be produced.
